SERVICES PROVIDED
The house and cottage are fully serviced.
Staff; should you wish to pay a gratuity, we suggest a rate of not less than R150 per day.
Staff hours are 07h00 to 13h00 and 14h30 to 17h30.
Should you require the maids to stay longer, or to start earlier, please arrange it with them on your arrival.
The maids can prepare vegetables, gut fish and do breakfast and simple cooking upon request.

A tip for the “hidden staff” can be made into the tip boxes located in the houses at a rate of R50 per day, which is shared amongst the general workers on the farm who see to the cutting of the paths, mowing the lawns, chopping of fire wood etc. as well as the maintenance of the fishing waters ( walls, spillways etc. ).

ITEMS NOT SUPPLIED
Braai charcoal, firelighters and matches.

FIRES
Fires for braais may only be lit within the confines of the facilities provided.

There is a fire pit overlooking the weirs. If this is used, the fire must be fully extinguished (doused with water) to ensure that no ember can be fanned and ignite the veld grasses which could in turn pose a severe threat to the house and cottage.

We request that the same process is followed when using the boma at the Fisherman’s Cottage

BAG LIMIT
The bag limit is 12 fish per house per weekend.
All fish caught must be weighted, measured and entered into the book provided.
Fish may only be caught using flies, no other fishing tackle may be used.
No flotation tubes are permitted.

We have implemented a sustainable practice on the farm with regards waste management.

REFUSE
All refuse is requested to be removed from the farm at the end of your stay. Plastic bin liners are provided and the staff will ensure that you are provided with sufficient number of these to allow you to help us by removing your refuse yourselves.

SEPTIC TANKS
The house and cottage are serviced by a septic tank system. Please note that the septic tank system does not allow for the disposal of any foreign matter via the toilet, or for the use of antiseptics or oils in the bath or basin.
